I can understand color difference back when LED'S first came out..When most were still running Halides and or T5's. But not now..Even with the use of orange filters, I can't get the colors to match the coral I ordered.. Example, one I recived on the top. One I ordered on the bottom.

Likely photoshop or snapseed with accentuate enhancement

The photo is most likely altered like vetteguy stated (a lot of places do this, why finding a good supplier is necessary). However it also could just be because of transporting and it not being extremely happy in its new environment. A few weeks after introducing my hammer it's color is starting to come back out.

Rule of thumb. Lower your expectation and expect online corals to look 50% worst than photos.

Also, bright yellow usually means green. Dark red means brown. Sparkles mean you won't actually see the sparkles without a microscope.

Also they could have completely different light settings than you which can throw off photos as well. But unfortunately a lot of places alter their photos just like people on social media. Gotta make everything look as perfect as possible even if that's not what it really looks like.

It's really hard visulize what a coral actually looks like. I'm trying to add different color hammers, with out buying multipals of the same gold hammer..I've seen yellow braching hammers. This is not one of them.

Plus the vendor photo is directly top down. I have a mint colored hammer that has the true color from the vendor, but if I take a side or angled photo it doesn't pop like from directly above.
