Decrease bubbles from drain pipe triton sump? Video inside

So in the video you can see my two drain pipes into my triton 44 sump. I have a the Shadow overflow box drained with 1 1/2" that converts to 1" pretty much after the elbow into my sump area. Im wondering is there away to lower the amount of bubbles the pipes are causing? I have put two filter socks in there and that eliminates all micro bubbles that make its way into the DT but im hoping to get away from filter socks

This may not fit in your setup but I made up a bubble trap for my tank with some pvc fittings, it prevents almost all the bubbles from escaping and just about completly silences it as well

How do you have your drains plumbed? Bean Animal? If so it seems like you have excessive flow from one of the pipes anyway. Is there a gate valve on one of the drains?

I feel like your siphons are sucking in a crazy amount of air which doesn't look right....

Yes bean animal, main drain is 3 1/2” and the second is roughly 5 while emergency is about 7. I do have a gate valve on the main and I usually run it fully open but the overflow “whistles” very loudly so closed the gate about a quarter of the way

Is the bubble trap that extra pipe that goes up and out and then the extra upside down y pipe at the bottom versus a straight drain? Excuse my technical terms I’m not a plumber

Have the same sump. Had to glue the black pipes in the bulkhead on the inside of the sump. Mine were sucking air through that connection.

I don’t have mine glued at the moment, I didn’t know if they are at the right height/distance of water level if they are I don’t mind glueing them if that’s a issue I need to address

I left mine the stock length they came as then just glued them in and it’s working perfect. I have a bean animal drain system as well

Would also make sure the threaded connection or the two halves are snug as well if you haven’t.

That's kind of how it works, I reamed out the stop in the bushing that's at the top so the 1"drain goes all the way down below the water line, all the bubbling happens inside the whole contraption, water exits the upside wye and the air is vented out through a hole in the top of the peice that comes out of the side

They are super snug lol but I’ll glue them and see if it minimizes the bubbles. Appreciate it.
