Deep Blue’s Solarflare ex lights

Thoughts on Deep Blue’s Solarflare ex lights? We use them for our planted tanks at work and also for visible light in the salt tanks (no coral). The one I got for my Planted tank is 12 Watts (10g) and has an actinic setting has 6 (kinda blue/lavender?) LEDs. The rest of the LEDs are white. Could it grow coral? It sorta has a bluish tint when using full power

It may have a decent spectrum, but does it produce the PAR? I've never heard of the fixture, but perhaps someone on the #reefsquad has.

If it's a typical strip-light sold in pet shops, it may have enough punch for soft corals, but probably lacks the chutzpah for things like SPS.

2/5 stars on amazon. I wouldn't take that light for free. =/

It would probably be sufficient for soft and low light Lps corals, but that'd be about it.

I have it on my Planted tank. Here’s what it says under system specs:

Lamp Type: H.E. LED Lamps
10,000K & 460NM Blue
Input PWR: 120V / 60Hz
Max Draw: 12.0W

12w will not cut it. For 10g tank go for something above 20-25 watt, and use it at 75% intensity . This is just on raw wattage , I doubt the spectrum is not decent as well (particularly 420/460nm range ) , but I’ll let others who are more experienced in this comment on this.
