So the 120 gallon is gone. All fish are gone. Hanging on to some corals and inverts in a temporary 20 gallon long. I have been working on the 80 gallon build, and taking my time with it. Here's the progress so far.

Made a DIY tslot stand.

Nice start!

Led light strip being installed. And starting to plumb the tank.

Love the stand, I also have a deep blue 80. Following along.
The stand is made out of 8020 t slot aluminum. I designed it after watching some other builds. Also made the wood shelves myself. Happy to help if you need additional info.

I love your stand, where did you get that metal? How much went into it, is it something a rookie could handle?

The stand was roughly around $500 (metal, wood, stain, trim etc). The bulk of that cost is for the aluminum. It is very simple to put together. Happy to walk you through it if you have any questions.

Cycle started. Hoping for this to be instant since I used cured rock from the previous system.

dang man that looks awesome! Hopefully mine looks half as good as yours.
