Deep blue 80g rimless build thread

Hey everyone I finally sold off all my old tanks/ equipment and finally getting the tank I have been itching for lol.This will be more of a sps dominated tank.

~Equipment~
Deep blue 80g rimless with the star fire/ opti pure front glass (48x24x16)
Trigger systems emerald 39 sump
Skimz monster 163 skimmer
Skimz biopellet reactor
Vectra m1 return pump
Tek 8 bulb 48inch light
Trigger systems 10g ato tank clear
2x Jeabo rw 8 until I order 2x mp40 wyd
2x 300w titanium heaters

I will be custom building my stand out of 2x6s to get the height I want I have had low stands in the past all about 36 inches tall and I hated how short they were so this stand will be 41 inches tall.
I also want to have a refuigium with bio blocks and have very minimal live rock. I will be using the special grade sand as it does not blow around much. I will post pics as the build goes on

The stand is coming together nicely have to change out a 2x6 on the inside end to a 2x4 to get my ato resivor to fit. then time for plywood and paint the inside of it white for a better look

Nice I love the depth of 24. I was thinking about going with the ati 8 bulb with led combo but i couldn't justify $1400 to the wife lol

A little update. The stand I made I had it at 42.5 inches tall. It sounded great until I put the tank on it. I was not a fan even though I'm 6'6. so I took it all back apart and made it 37 inches tall. 4 inches doesn't sound like much but it made a huge difference. I love it now. I also took the 2x6's out of the ends and replaced them with 2x4 to make room for my trigger systems ato 10g resovour would fit nicely

Time to plywood the top and bottom and then skin it. I was thinking about a nice cherry stain. I also am not going to have a door on the front because who wants to cover all the sexy equipment up lol

A little progress this week. We have had massive amount of snow fall in ny and have been very busy plowing ... I got the top and bottom sheets cut and installed. I am deciding on having a magnetic front and side door or just do a nice trim so the sump can be seen.
