Hey everyone, I wanted some opinions on using a frag tank as a MD tank?
I currently have a 40g breeder and wanted to upgrade to a bigger tank. One of my friends is selling his 80g deep blue rimless frag tank for around $350.
Do you think this is a good deal and would you use a frag tank as a MD tank?

I had one as my main display, and aside from the fact I don't like rimless tanks, it makes a good display as long as you are mindful of the stand height and where you will be viewing it from.

I think 350 is priced right, but doesn’t hurt to haggle a little. I have a 70 gallon and love the look especially rimless. I love mine. I like the Red Sea custom netting if you are worried about fish jumping. Clean look.

Ya I like that look a lot! Ya I make all custom netting covers for my tanks now and love them. I think I would use my 40g breeder as a sump and build a custom stand for it

There's a lot going on right now since my girlfriend is moving into my house, so I have to move the 40 g breeder from upstairs into the basement and what better time than to get a new tank and upgrade haha!
