Has anyone used the deep blue filter media and had it set their skimmer in to crazy mode. I put a carbon one in my tank today and within minutes my skimmer spit the sludge it the top and a river of foam. Needless to say it sent my nitrates into the stratosphere. I called the vendor he was very nice but said he’d never heard of this happening before. I’m hoping this doesn’t crash my tank. Despite water changes still high nitrates(in other words it went so high test couldn’t read it). Skimmer continued to go nuts making foam even when wide open. Not sure why this happened if they use something in the carbon or if it was the mold release for the filter pad.
