Been painting the interior but the cold spell put that to a stop. Received a new skimmer for Christmas though.

Was originally going to do a two tone but decided on classy grey.

Next step polyurethane...

Did you use MDF boards and cut out the holes where you will put the doors? Then use wood trim pieces on top of that? I have some leftover MDF board that I was thinking of doing that to keep one continuous piece per side, then accented by different trim.

No I use birch plywood installed on the frame then like you said cut the holes. This provided the continuous piece. Used wood trim to conceal seams/screws.
