Well pick this bad boy up on Sunday night figure I show the progress of this build. This is my fourth tank in less than a year the saltwater bug has bit me hard. I started with a 55 gallon with canister filter that was first lesson learned the first month up I sprung a leak lol. Good thing I found a 75 with sump the week before bad thing meant a rush to set up in 8 hour after work. So I woke up to the leak at 4 in the morning cleaned up by the time I was done it was to late/early to go back to sleep when I had to leave for work at 7. Went to work came home around 7 and started to swap everything over never had a sump only read how to plumb didn’t have any reefers I knew at that point being a newbie needless to say got done around 4 in the morning and had to go to work again at 7 lol.

Day three keep in mind I do have the week off so I’m on a time limit. Helped a fellow reefer get at Red Sea reefer tank so was gifted a bunch of live rock and sand I know everyone will say it’s a no no on old sand but I care to differ my 75 has old sand from the Old owner of my 55 well when I started that up I washed it just like I do with rice little amount till I got clear water so will do the same I’m hoping with the gifted live rock the sand and a couple cups of sand from the 74 I’ll have this thing cycled quick so the transfer of livestock can happen

So took the family on a road trip on Tuesday so didn’t have any progress on the build. Woke up on Wednesday and started on plumbing got all piped in and painted. While waiting for it to dry I leveled it off and started to fill. I need salt so ran and got some at Barrier reef aquarium our local lfs. Usually I just get water at the store which has work out good for me but for some reason I asked the lfs what their price was for rodi which was like most $.50 a gal but lucky me they do 50% off on Wednesdays so at $.25 hell yeah I got my jugs filled and went home empty them out and went back lol. Got salt mixed in and realized I had a leak on one of the drains so pulled it out and the flang on bulk head was warped and possibly the gasket was bad so talk to my buddy and he had some laying around. Help him get a tank and he called it even so got home plumb the bulkhead in with new gasket and it leaked upon further inspection I realized it had a hair line crack in the thread out to the flange. Well good thing I grabbed the extra bulkhead from my buddy I didn’t use it the first time cause I didn’t want to modify plumbing but ohh well new one in no leaks. Tomorrow will adjust plumbing and paint swap return pump over, swap skimmer, heaters and start to add rock sand and transfer livestock over

Sorry for late post got everything swapped overon Thursday equipment wise from the 75 to the 110 what a day it took about 3-4 just setting the rock scape up for it where I was finally happy took a bit also to incorporate the live rock from the 75. All the coral took to it really well a lot better than I anticipated. My Duncan was unhappy for a few months in the 75 was probably the happiest I’ve seen in a while. Friday finish painting the doors and fine tune the rest of it. Now to finish doors on the 40 and get my work area desk cleaned up and wire management

So got canopy built will be able to swing up to work onthe tank for now it houses 1-32 and 1-16 in black box 1 ai prime and a 4 bulb aquatic life t5. Also got work area put in

Just a update on my tank been a while just getting my nutrients back in shape and made a few upgrades and modification first implemented a power filter like the ones reef moonshiners use but this one is in my sump it powers my reactor and fuge. Now my return goes to sump and get filtered with floss then power filter has floss to filter the water more that goes to my fuge that drains back to sump and gets filtered with floss again end result there is no ditritus what so ever. Second I upgraded my black box to two reefi unos if you have seen these light you just don’t know will be doing a par test soon but here are some pictures of the upgrade and modifications
