The test solution is blue, right? That was at 9 AM?So I started my fishless cycle yesterday, and about 9 am this morning I added ammonia to the 2ppm mark, but I tested just to check at 3:20 pm today and It says 0? Whats happening? To my knowledge I did the test right![]()
Used live sand? And the test i did in the morning was 2ppm, that is just a bit ago and it is supposed to be very light green to dark green, and it barely has A color0 amnonia on that test = yellow correct ?
It's hard to work out your colour in vial but looks more blue than yellow?
Edit: reading post below I presume you sharing the first test at 2ppm as I guessed you sharing the 0ppm lol
If you did the test correct both the same way then maybe it reduced it from 2ppm - 0ppm quick, maybe you using live rock so had an instant cycle idk
Could guess alot things really
Its greenThe test solution is blue, right? That was at 9 AM?
Are you thinking the ammonia dropped to quickly? Its green
I think? Should I check nitrates/ trites? Are you thinking the ammonia dropped to quickly?
The presence of nitrite would confirm ammonia is being oxidized.I think? Should I check nitrates/ trites?
When I get home ill test, thanks! The presence of nitrite would confirm ammonia is being oxidized.
It looks blue to me - I can't read the card easily. but that looks like 1 ppm (at least). What bacteria did you add to your tank? How did you dose the ammonia? So I started my fishless cycle yesterday, and about 9 am this morning I added ammonia to the 2ppm mark, but I tested just to check at 3:20 pm today and It says 0?
