Definition of Harem

Guys curious on what a true harem is. Does it consist of multiple males and many females? Or just one male and many females?

Has anybody started with...say...a trio and purchased more fish to create a harem?

I have a trio of Flames coming Friday, and would like to do a Harem when they go into the big tank maybe.

A harem is usually 1 male and between 3 and 5 females. Depending on the fish depends on the what number they prefer, as mates.

Thanks. Anybody have any experience with a harem, esp a Flame wrass harlem? Would it be recommended to get another pair for the trio to get a harem?
