I have noticed a large amount of moisture i my basement. The girlfriendjust told me that a few of her old shoes that she doesn't wear any more has started to show mold. since my dt is in my basement. im chalking it up as the evaporation is causing this issue. what type of humidifiers are recommended to lower the humidty in my basement?

I'm running a condensation dehumidifier. Pulls a max of 20 liters per day and uses only 145W while running.

I have two 70pints in two separate areas in my basement. My sump is down there. I picked up from hardware store. No idea what brand sorry but think about larger then rated and/or multiple.

Also, an exhaust fan can help too if able to install one over the tank.

I run two 50pint Toshiba dehumidifiers in my house plus a/c in the fish room to combat the heat, the other dehumidifier is in the main house with the main a/c.

dehumidifiers are a must with open top large tanks imo It really helps to have a meter in several rooms to see what the humidity is in your house you might be surprised, keeping it at 55% and below is best and feels so much better than 60%+

I run a 70pt in the basement with 420 gallon system. Auto drains into my shower so it’s constantly running. Keeps humidity below 50% at all times. Winter can be tough without the AC also helping.
