Midea 1,500 Sq. Ft. Energy Star... I schedule it to run while everyone is at work and at night when everyone is asleep.

My dehumidifier water container is 22 pints and it get full every 3-5 days with an automatic 50% humidity setting

Good estimate would be however much your ATO is adding plus a little, more if it just rained or you live in a humid climate.

Evaporation will likely increase, after adding a dehumidifier, resulting in a cooling effect for the tank. I'm in Florida, dehumidifier maintains 50% and extracts about 4 gallons a day. The house feel much more comfortable and keeps the tanks cool (via evaporation) without causing mold or musty smell in house. It automatically pumps the condensate down the drain. Best purchase in a while.

I use this one with about 500g in my basement. Keeps it 45%-50% easily. I plumbed the dehumidifier drain line into a water drain line so I don't have to deal with a full draw everyday.

I have 3 Vellgoo.
1 upstairs 2 downstairs.
4 tanks running downstairs.
I dump the downstairs one twice a day, so 4 gallons maybe?
I'm in Idaho, not dry most of the year.
These things have really made the house more comfortable.

My chiller probably runs for a hour everyday, now, to maintain 78*; in comparison it used to run about 7 hours to maintain 79*(this is with halides and leds in closed canopy)

Good to know. I actually had this unit running before I put the tanks down there so I can't see the difference. I don't have a chiller on the system and the tank temp rarely gets up to 79 while I keep the room 72-75 degrees (depending if I'm down there). I think good room circulation with fans also helps greatly.

I assume you mean the water from the dehumidifier? It will not be pure.

I'm sorry this post is late. I bookmarked for future posting and it got by me. I did some research on my Dehumidifier and settled on a Frigidaire. It's been a champ. Have had it for about 4 to 5 years now and it gets continuous use. LOL, my daughter even uses it in the kitchen when she's about to make Fudge. Evidently, fudge requires a low humidity to solidify correctly. So when we finally launch our tank, I'm either going to use this or buy one exactly like it. If you want to know the model number, DM me and I'll get it for ya. Karen keeps the records in this household so I don't know where that info is off the top of my head.
