Yesterday my paddlefin wrasse jumped out throgh a small opening and landed on the top of the acrylic tank. When I noticed that he's hardly moving except for the gill covers. I quickly threw him back into the tank where he just sank to the bottom.

He laid on his side for 10 minutes,Then he moved a few inches and rested again. I went to the bathboom and when I got back he disappered!

Have not seen him today after 24 hrs. I understand these Thalassomas don't sleep in the sand. But wouldn't they hide in the substrate when injuried or stressed?

I'm also worried that he may get an infection and pass it on other fish?

He’ll be in the rocks hiding. Don’t do anything unless you KNOW he’s dead. No these fish will not burrow into the sand if they’re injured or stressed.

Thank you. What made me think he "could be" in the substrate was because before he disappered some other smaller fish were very curious and kept checking on him. No such behavior after that.
