Dejardini sailfin, black spot?

I got a quarantined sailfin from Dr reefs. He's been in a frag tank, solo, for about 3 weeks and everything is going fine. Tonight when feeding I noticed a black spot on his belly. Thoughts?

Looks to be post injury and how long has this been visible? If over a week, consider treating in a separate tank with seachem Kanaplex which is absorbed by the fish treating it internally and externally with added aeration using air stone

Noticed it today, so 1 day. There's nothing in the tank w him except two gyre's, frag rack, some frags, and 10 snails.

Im thinking rock but with absence of rock, stony SPS coral on the rack

I would watch it - it does not look infected to me - however ,any injury can become infected. It also may be part of a stress coloration from the environment.

I agree, it doesn't look infected yet. I can see the fish's normal spots through the black spot, so the skin isn't likely broken.
