Delayed anemone shipment - anyone had this happen to them?

Got a box that missed the flight yesterday - will arrive tomorrow. Seven or eight BTAs. Odds of survival?

On no I am sorry to hear this
Odds of survival.... depends on the volume of water shipped in.

this is exactly why I dont wanna ship my box next week, even though im super excited to get it! dont want to have it sitting on a tarmac/plane/truck for who know how long.

Ugh, I feel for ya, and totally know what youre going through. hope they come in ok, but its like russian roulette. agreed, it depends on water in shipping bag and where(city) it is sitting on the truck.

Just got a text that the box arrived in VA at 5:30, it left SC at 5:31 yesterday by priority overnight!

There was just a discussion about this on an auction site I participate in. The sellers there were talking about most nems being able to withstand 2-3 days shipping if they are kept warm.

Well, the box arrived. Packaging was topnotch, everything triple bagged, padded as if there was a 100yr old bottle of Scotch in there, then sealed in thick styro box.

The water was 67f. I keep my nem system at 71f, so the acclimation was minor. There were six nems in the box. Two have holes all the way through, two have gaping mouths and the last two just look unhappy. All six are fully acclimated, and in baskets. I may cut the two that look like donuts later today, depending on how they settle in.

This is a FedEx issue, not the vendor.

Fingers crossed.

I always use my example of coming around the corner of my house to see the Fedex guy flipping my box up in the air. It has live animals written all over it and this side up. I will never understand some people. Pride in job and respect for others.

I've had ups toss a box of corals before he was tossing it into the air spinning and catching it as he walked up to the house. I ripped open our door and lit into him about it n his lack of intellectual capacity and professionalism doing his job. It's sad as said it's on every side of box live fish with arrows. No respect for their job and the customers they deliver to.

Actually, I was so dumbstruck that I stood there. He did not even see me and got back into his truck. I was so worried about the creatures, I forgot to yell at him. Luckily, all were fine as it was clean up crew, but seriously.

all look good
