Hi Jason, it depends on a number of considerations. How well is the shipping container insulated, did the shipper use heat or cool packs (if even needed given your current climate), did they fill the shipping bag with air or oxygen? I'd give it better than a 50:50 chance, but that's just a guess on my part. I had a nem delivered overnight and all I got was a bag full of mush! I hope you are much luckier!
Do you have a quarantine tank set up? Is it available for use by the anemone?
If it arrives and looks alive, I wouldn't try to acclimate it, I'd set up a holding container/quarantine tank, like a bowl or a jar or a Tupperware container or small fish tank (I use an old plastic peanut butter jar) and fill it with tank water and move the anemone directly from the bag to the new water. If it appears to be doing OK, I'd do a 100% water change in the holding container after an hour. At 4 to 6 hours, if it still looks OK, I'd do another 100% water change or decide to put it into the DT, (unless you have a QT you can keep it in).
I collected a couple of anemones of the beach (not even in the water) last summer during the height of our Red Tide crisis. I put them directly into my collecting jar (the a fore mentioned peanut butter jar with my tank water in it) while we finished our beach walk and drove home. After I did what I stated above with 1st day water changes, I then did morning and evening 100% water changes for the next 10 days. After I was 99.99% sure they were OK and survived the Red Tide, I put them in my DT. They are still there and doing quite well.
