Hello,

I just got some pods and snails delivered from reef cleaners.

took 4 days and I see movement with pods but the water is very yellow.

is that ok? Or will it add waste to my tank?

thanks

I got it in water now but don’t know if I should add it.

You can run them through a coffee strainer if you don't want the yellow water (as per @DungSl1nger , the green algae for the pods has been consumed or died in the dark).

The coffee strainer will also capture the waste, but in 4 days there won't be much.

Here’s soon

pics.

@Neo Jeo, if they are alive, I would add them to my tank, I would strain the water first as @NS Mike D mentioned though.

To give you an idea. the one on the right is the pod culture 20 minutes after set up (Wednesday). It's very green.

Same culture this morning

Almost all the Phyto is gone that I can see

Do I strain the water into a bucket or strain the water into the tank because a couple pies are very very small.

strain down the drain. you save the pods in the filter (90 microns should get all of them but strain into a container first just in case the coffee filter fails).

Thanks everyone. I’ll think on it still. I don’t have strainer.
Be safe and keep reefing!
