Hi guys, I'm looking to use a Deltec skimmer on an upcoming 300g build. I'm between the SC2060 (370 heavy stocking) or the SC2560 (530 heavy stocking). Would it be going over kill doing either of these skimmers? Think I would have a difficulty time getting a good skimmate from them if I'm not feeding heavy enough? Just looking for some input and recommendation. Thanks!

Personally I always over size as much as possible. Normally a size up works well. How much total system volume do you think you will end up with? If you are planning a large sump along with plumbing things like frag tanks, fuge and smaller displays to the 300g or having a lot of fish and feeding them heavy will require a larger skimmer. Deltec are great high quality skimmers and a solid choice for any tanks filteration. However have you looked into Life Reef skimmers? For a large tank its the only skimmers I would be buying.
