I recently bought a 10 head dendro colony. When I bought it I saw some polyp extension but ever since it' been in my tank for s week now theres no polyp extension. I did a 10 gallon water change just in case it was the water moved it to my sand bed and changed the flow higher on my my mp10s.

Any help is welcome thank you .

They tend to feed at night so that's when you'll see polyp extension. They're also NPS so must be fed several times a week for long term survival.

I have mine on a magnet on my glass right where I feed my fish with my tubastrea. They open up while I feed the fish and have been doing awesome

Loves the flow. Yes medium flow is optimal. I don't try and feed it directly. It gets what it gets. Since its is in medium/high flow, food always comes its way.
It knows when feeding time is, and will also come out if in during that time. It doesn't miss a meal. When scrubbing algae on top of return hoses it eats that as well.
SPS love that as well. That's a nice trick to get them to come out.

Light and flow. Mine love low light and medium to high flow. Feeding is the key. You have to feed often. Watch food size, if too large it might cause them to get sick. I lost one or two because I fed food that was too big for them.

well done... there is a colony at my LFS for $300...

It has 8 matured extended polyps and 6 babies coming from below.. Very tempting.
