Just bout a dendro and keep getting diff answers best place to put it
Does being in light bother it since its doesn't need light? Also was told high flow but then low flow? Please help??!?? Only been day one but usually everything opens in my tank with in a few hours. Don't want to lose it.

Being in the light is fine, I would not place at the top under the most intense lighting but otherwise it's fine. Mod to lower flow you do not want the polyps getting blasted in one direction flow only. What type of Dendo is it?

I have had mine low, medium and high lighting and seems to do well in any of them,Dendro does not like high flow the most important thing is to feed it a couple times a week miyais shrimp soaked in selcon cyclopeeze, finally chopped frozen foods etc and stable paramiters

Ok so ill leave it and see
Have it in little light and med
Flow. So ill see if it Comes out tomorrow? If does ill try to get a pick so i can verify the specific type of dendro. Thanks for response! And other info is welcome! Want this to thrive! One of my Fav corals!

Mine is a Japanese fathead and I have it in a medium flow and in a semi shaded area. I feed it 3 times a week. Got it at RAP and it already has 3 new heads popping off.

Amazing!!!!!!!!! How long you think it will be till it opens two days and not tenecles coming out.

It took this one a couple of days to settle in and open up. I only feed it when the tentacles are extended.

Make sure you check it after the lights go out, when I first got mine it would only open after the lights went out. I started turning the lights off and waiting till it was open and turned the lights back on and fed it right away. It only t a couple of feeding like this and it started opening when the lights were on.

i would make sure not to overfeed. i just got a 20 head big mouth dendro colony a month ago and i think i overfed the guy. it looked like it was rotting away but today it seemed alot better. i did some research and it's been said that you can overfeed and the food that they can't digest will rot.

Ok will check when lights are off. I had one that was always out during the day. Love the little guy. But got in some money trouble and had to sell him. Now finally got another and it's a pain haha
