Gorgeous!!! I didn’t even know these existed until now! They do look kind of tree-like. Probably how they got their name.

Little Pepe La Thistle, has roots
This shouldn't be happening. Little carnation coral has two roots, for filtration, running under gravel filter. No water change yet, been feeding, each root can turn to one polyp, if conditions just right.
Myth one - they need really clean water to thrive,

Everything looks beautiful!

I hope your right about the busted myth about them needing clean water. I would like to keep some someday and I don't keep clean water.
My water hazy when you shine light at night, just noticable, i think becuze of raw egg in their food? Im planning HOB filter like type included when u buy a small tank. Ive eliminated skimmers, extra filtration. Trying go simple
