Just started a stereonepthia tank.
Will update later when those corals have completely attached and fully opened up.
NPS is out of my league.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Here hard to get colonies that size. Bummer

The LFS had a big shipment full of these corals.
The shop owner have no idea what these are, they called them Christmas tree corals.
I just bought all of them.
To my understanding those with bigger calcium spikes and spiky touch are stereonepthya.
And those without the spiky touch, and with much smaller calcium spikes are (Japanese)pink Nepthya.
Do you happens to know the scientific name for the pink Nepthya?

Absolute beauties.. added a christmas tree rock and adding phyto every day heavily interested in trying one after I go back and take an in depth tour of each page of this thread...

Thanks so much for the knowledge hope to chat and converse about these beauties.

About half an hour in, it is slowly perking up, hopefully pics later or tomorrow, it had a food bath on the way in.
Similar what I've had, ours orange closer to base, one of the easiest to care for.... can't wait for it to open. Thanks for sharing

I was working on the system today, one pump went out and had to get a different one running. And I turned off the chiller and forgot to turn it back on, the temperature in 2-3 hours went up to 83 degrees
