ok reading through this i was extremly intriged by the DSB in the 5 gallon bucket my system is around 220 to 250 gal and i have an extra 35 gal rubbermaid container that i was thinking of cutting 4 holes 2 on each end and filling the container up with the cheap silica sand from home depot up to about 4 and 1/2 inch of the holes does this sound like it would work well for my system. i plan on moving my sump into my fishroom and could easily build i small stand to hold my sump on the bottom and the DSB on top so it could easily drain back to the sump

I used this for 2 months and bring my nitrate to 0. Very good. I don't need it anymore.
