- What state or country do you live in
My name is Ola and I live in Kristiansand, Norway.
I am new to R2R but after "a lot" of pressure from my friend x_burt (He's building an amazing tank: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/1000g-puffer-display.223991/) "I decided" to make a (re)-build thread.
I have my 90 gallon (350l - 50cm x 50cm x 140cm) tank running for a while (a couple of years) but I have (finally) decided to tear down the tank, clean it out properly and rebuild it with new rock and sand, mainly due to issues with some brown clove-polyps that has gradually taken over my tank, and slowly killing of most of the coral i had.
What I have:
Tank: 350l (90gal)
Sump: 120l (30gal)
Skimmer: Bubble King mini 180 (not connected at the moment as i need a new bearing for the pump)
Lights: China LEDs 2x180w with computer
Cicrulation: Two Jebao WP25, one vortech mp10.
Stock: 2x Chromis, Sailfin, Yellow and regal blue tang and a sumped sixline. Holding these fish for x_burt to have in his tank when he's done with his build. (except the sixline).
Refugium in sump with cheato (Using a 8.5W PAR38 LED light)
The tank (Gonna need loads of love)
The fish waiting to swim in their new home.
The nasty clove polyps.
The plan:
I want to make a nice aquascape, and I want to keep SPS corals eventually.
I have browsed the web for countless hours, and i want to build a pillars or two and maybe an overhang supported by my overflow.
Gonna take it slow and build the aquascape with dry rock outside of the tank, so the next step now will be to get the rock and some framework to build on (eggcrate, pvc plumbing) and some reef cement (suggestions?) and get creative.
I also want to stock it with relatively peaceful (smaller) fish and somehow get rid of the sixline - that has shown aggression to smaller fish - I'm thinking of a pair of clowns, a shoal of chromis, always wanted a flame angel.. Also maybe some mandarin and a blenny.. ?
Anyway, any comments or ideas along the way is welcome, thanks for viewing
