Welcome Eric - nice to see you made it over here.

Thanks Sikryd, its Evan but no worries. Ive actually been surfing/lurking on here for about a year now just kinda kept quiet, Ill be a littlle more involved now though. HOpefully my zoa growth pics up here as for some reason it has slowed down a little, still all doing well but i think they are just settling in to the new tank.

here are some updated shots. sorry for the blue learning how to play with white balance tonight.

Been away for a little while had some good and bad things happen, Had a AA batter fall in the tank from a autofeeder and in an hour it exploded and released a bunch of stuff in the tank, lost about 60% or so sps next day and a few have recently died as well, after that fiasco i almost left the hobby as i lost alot of frags but the wife wouldnt let me, shes a good woman.

so slowly been restocking, fish an softies were all fine. besides a few dieing off recently tank is starting to color back up and recent additions are growing very well.

Got a new pair and thuoght i would share, thanks alot doni

They are currently in QT and doing well so far, now just need to think of names, but trying to figure out a name for our soon to be daughter has been hard enough (only have a week or two left to find that name) had a few suggestions for the one of Elvis/chops/wolverine with those sideburns.

ill try to get some tank pics up and get a little more active on the site, only to disappear when my daughter is born in the next week or so

Well been a long while since i last updated, had some ups and downs. Lost both of my picasso's, one was a jumper that fit thru a hole i could barely put my finger through, the other got a protozoan parasite that i dont know how it got in there. Recently added a small B&W and a pair that is a B&W and Onyx and few other fish as well. Otherwise things have been going fairly well (nock on wood) and have added some equipment
New Avast Marine Calcium reactor and just added a new Avast Media reactor.......i couldnt be happier with the products and the customer service..eventually will probably get their cone skimmer andi strongly suggest you check them out, hard to beat for the price.
running biopellets and they have done some good things for the DT.
well here are some pics

Well it has been a very long time since i have updated this thread. Will most likely be starting a new thread very soon as i just got a new tank, will be moving up to a 120g and cant wait to get the stand and hood built and water it in.
90g is doing well besides just having a MH ballast die. Still have an aiptasia forrest going in there so will be starting over with some new rock on the next tank.
Corals however are doing very well, all sps have been relatively unaffected by the aiptasia and things have been coloring and growing well.
the berghia nudibranch breeding has been going well, had a bit of die off when i was away at a race from water quality issues but i still have a population going and breeding. this has been a fun experience though its more work then i thought it would be and im curious what ill do when i set the new tank up...most likely ill get rid of them all but i may try to keep a small population going.
Avast Calcium reactor has been one of the better upgrades ive done and have not had any problems with it at all. Got one of their media reactors for the biopellets and i couldnt believe how much better it worked then the other reactors. i have a kalk stirrer i still need to build and cant wait to see it in action. Just need to win the lottery and get one of their skimmers and ill be set.

I have a few LEDs coming for a bit of actinic pop but amd going to stick with metal halide for a while..radium bulbs are just addicting.

Fish have all been doing well, we had a few jumpers but what can ya do, worst was my clarkii that was almost 15 years old. finally got a male anthias that could put up with my female. My mimic tang has pretty much completed the color shift from yellow to black/yellow. Atlantic tang is almost shifting color. Clown trio (B&W, B&W misbar, Onyx) is still happy and not fighting.
thas about all i can think of for an update

Yeh i need to update with some newer pics. Will try to get this done, just been hard with the baby, racing season full tilt, trying to build the 120, and excuses excuses

Little more update, and basically time to start a new tank build thread. Got the 120 stand started and the frame is basically done, just need to do some final touches to it, paint, and skin it.....trying to make this one baby safe and actually finished (ya know with doors and all) Did alot of the building on memorial day in the heat/humidity...not the smartest but still good to see progress.
Turns out im going to have to downsize and get rid of the frag tanks which im not pleased about at all, but what can ya do. Im overcrowded on corals and really need the frag tank for spillage....ill get another one up and running once/if we ever move or if we stay will put it back up.

Got a new Avast CS-1 cone skimmer, did the you build kit and built it at the local clubs build party....Cant wait to see this thing working, i love my ASM g-3 but that will be going to a friend along with the 90g. Also got their kalk reactor... so basically i will be an avast sponsored tank (CA RX, Media Rx, Skimmer, Kalk) once you get one of their products its hard to shop anywhere else. not to mention the customer service is some of the best ive dealt with.

So i guess i have alot of pics to put up.

Corals are still doing well, fish are all living and made it through a weekend of racing up at Watkins Glen (though the car troubles will limit the future spending on the tank)
Berghia are still going strong, actually been placing some Zoa frags in their tank and they have been cleaning them up really well. havent seen any new babies lately but i think they should start becoming visable in a few weeks if i have the timeline right. I will be starting with new rock on the new tank so im not sure if i will actually keep them going or not, most likely not.

thats it for now

well sounds like your all set up there for your next build thread - good luck with it
nice pics and corals btw

thanks, things look alot better lately, no more crap algea...for some reason my aiptasia seem to be having trouble reproducing as quickly (bad news for the nudibranchs well technically me cause harvesting them just is annoying)

I have the stand about half way built, need to finish it up hopefully next week, (frame is built just need to do the finishing touches)

but need to do some work to the motor in my car first...stupid hobbies cost too much but boy are they fun

havent had a chance to really do much of anything on the stand, too much going on in life with a 1 year old, racing season upon us and the 40,000 others things i sign myself up for.
lost my down under undata the other day and am freaking p-od, had a cali tort frag fall on it and it was white later that night.
going to have to do a few last shots of the tank and then start the new build thread, its kinda sad tearing a tank down but it will be nice to have a new venture started.

Not much progress lately, starting skinning the stand, need to finish it up soon, and then get to the equipment board, then tank goes on top, Hood needs to be built....plumbing, water, transfer.....one day one day.
well here are some pics

2x250w 20k radiums (in spider reflectors now but lumenarcs soon) and 2 ati blue plus for actinic. I have tried several diff MH bulbs and the radiums just always had the best color and growth for me.
and Thanks

been lucky, most of it is growth, only corals ive added are on frag racks since my frag tank is full....funny it sounds like im complaining.

ever since the avast ca rx was added things have been growing well (also combo'd with their kalk stirrer)

most of the corals are now growing into each other begging for more space, so when i get time to finish the build a 120g will be allowing for more space. well havent done this in a while but here are some growth pics for the halibut (unfortunately no today pics)
