I picked up my 3 inch derasa to clean off a couple vermetid snails. Noticed his foot had detached. I'm assuming full foot? I know it didn't tear from me picking it up as it's attached to small shell.

The clam has moved 1.5 inches a couple days ago so thinking it happened during that timeframe. As of this morning he was fully open and looking great and has had really good growth over the months.

Just seeing if anyone has feedback or maybe what to watch for.

If it detached on it's own then I wouldn't worry. If you picked up the clam and the foot tore off then that's bad. Once clams start getting bigger they can release their threads as the shell is big enough to keep them in one place. Nice new growth on that derasa too.
