I have 3 diff pairs of designer clowns, one pair is bullet hole oscellaris another is midnight pair and finally onyx picasso pair. I see threads and videos of ppl and their succession with designer type clowns hosting nems. But I can't. I've done the soda bottle trick and the natural way of them hosting when they are ready. Any suggestions?? That will have a pretty good succession?

What type of Anemones?

I've had GBTA, then I have tried long tentacle, but now I have sand anemones. They are bright yellow with orange bases. Nothing like rock nems or mini maxi nems

Have you just given them time? I have had some where after 6 months one started hosting a mushroom then the next week she started hosting the
nem which was in there from the beginning and haven't left since. This was a rbta. Other thank has gbta which are happily hosted.

Have herd stories of others putting a picture of a hosting clown on the glass.

I've heard of the pic method. I have given them lots of time. This tank is 6 yrs old. I think my patience is just wearing thin.

Sand Anemone can refer to a couple different types of anemones. I would google and find an anemone compatibility chart and match your clown fish types with their natural anemone host. Sometime it can take a long time for the clowns to figure it out but it helps to at least find the clowns natural host. You can target feed the anemones only and hope the clowns decide to give the anemone a try in hope of getting left overs. As a last resort and if you have room you can purchase a clown and the anemone it's residing in. Some clowns just need a example.

I have read several different places that the picture trick works well.

Don't mind the use, just give me credit, and get the information correct.

There is an option to contact the creator of that site, I did and I encourage others to do so as well.
