Desjardini sailfin tang not eating algae

Hi I have a sailfin tang who will devour my sis and brine shrimp and he will peck at the rocks bu he will not touch the algae that I tied on one of the rocks all the other fish run straight to it but he just looks at it a pecks on the rockwork

Mine wont touch algae nor Nori seaweed. Best for algae is scopas, kole, mustard and yellows. If youre taking about seaweed, mine devours it but every fish has their likings
