I've been itching to set up another tank, but not finding anything that really jumped out at me. I got an email yesterday about a Petco sale and went to the website. Anyway they had the Evo 13.5 $50 off, and if you bought it online and picked it up in the store, you'd save another 25%. So with tax, roughly 100$ USD. I figured that was worth the drive. The drive being two hours each way, to Fargo ND. So making the trip there (And finding more stuff to buy) and back, got it set up last night.

My main tank is ~105G, with some fish I really don't want to lose, figured I'd turn the Evo into a QT tank for fish and corals.

I found this little guy at the Petco and he's pretty fat and out all the time. Roughly the size of a quarter:

His partner in crime is one of my favorite fish, an Orange Spot Blenny:

As far as coral, you can kind of see the two Paly grandis just below the blenny. I've also got a hammer and a cristata that just aren't doing well in the main tank. There is also a small toadstool I got yesterday as well on top. I've got another powerhead I'll put in tomorrow to help push water around. The live rock is from the main tank, so everything is cycled, I just moved it over and did an h20 change on the main tank. Cleaning the debris out tomorrow morning, and adding another piece of rock from the main tank.

I've got some bubble algae, but not worried about it. Cleanup crew coming in Thursday to take care of the algae.

Looking like a great start. Are you going to use an emerald crab for the bubble algae?
I put a decent sized order in from Reef Cleaners, I did order a crab! Not all of this is going in the Evo. Hermits, and three or four snails. Most will be going into the big tank.

Coral list:
Cinnamon Palys
Duncans (2 Frags)
Leather toadstool
Leather finger
Grape Cristata x2
Lemon Cristata
Rainbow Bubbletip Anemone

Fish:
Coral Beauty (about the size of a quarter)
Orange Spot Blenny (2.5" or so)

Got the last fish of the year in, a 3/4" six line. He's in the tank now with the coral beauty. I moved the blenny over to the main tank, as he was eating, but starting to see him get skinny. Already am seeing blenny bite marks on the biofilm, algae and live rock. He took up under a purple/green frogspawn, and seems to be happy watching the other fish swim by.

The little six line is hiding, mostly as the Coral beauty is being a jerk, because she's finally bigger than something. I'm sure it will settle out in the next day or two.

Cleanup crew comes in today, we'll see what's alive after two day shipping to northern minnesota :(

Clean up crew in the tank(s) and already started to get to work. Other than a missing emerald crab, everyone survived two day shipping (from Florida to Minnesota no less!)! Thanks to John at ReefCleaners for his clean up crew!

One bummer - six line is dead, found him being pushed with the current when I came back from the post office picking up the clean up crew. I was going to take a pic for the credit (liveaquaria) but just tossed it. I ordered 5 fish, got one, and it's dead within 24 hours.

I think I'm done with LA. The box charge and huge price increase, it's not worth it anymore.

What are you using for a clean up crew, I'm in the market too?

About a month update: Love this tank and stock light! Coral is doing amazing. Stopped making this a QT, and I just love it as a nano.

Looking great! Not sure if you know this or not but I'd cover that powerhead with some foam to prevent the anemone from floating into it and getting shredded which can foul the tank.

3 Months (well a week shy of 3 months!)

New additions listed. Need to rearrange a little bit - darn emerald crab is re-arranging everything at night! Sorry about the saturation, trying to figure out camera. It's either all green or disco-colored.
