cleaning the tank today and moved some rock around. In the process I ended up grinding one of these between two rocks. It realeased a cloud of mucus and little strings. I am running carbon but just wondering if I need to worry about toxins, etc.

no worries! I tried to kill mushrooms that encroached into sps many time and never experience of any toxin that I am aware of.

I’m getting ready to pull rock out and scrub each one off. They are everywhere!

they will grow back in multiple unless you totally removed them from the rocks. They are not bad looking. Sell them! I am sure some softies lover would like them.

I might do that, I love them also but they are encroaching on some Montipora and other coral. I just have too many.
