Purchased an acan a couple days ago, was in pretty bad shape at the store with one of the polyps barely hanging on. It's in a much better place in my tank and looks nice and full. However this morning I noticed that the the polyp that was barely hanging on has detached. It ended up in a nook in the rocks and is sitting there looking like nothing happened nice and full.

Can I save it? Or is there anything I can do? I've kept sps for 10+ years but just recently started getting into acans so not sure if it'll survive without its "skeketon"

Shoot just realized I posted this in the wrong section. If mods can please move to LPS section.

Mount it to a plug, back onto what it came detached from or on to live rock using gel superglue. Just use a tiny bit so it doesn't burn the flesh being it has no skeleton. It may or may not survive..

OK will do. Will it grow a new skeletal base assuming it lives?
