Ok guys, a little confused, my zoas that I recently got from an order are so weird, when they first went in the zoas were doing great growing fast, then I noticed it almost seemed like a few disappeared. Later I noticed that there were a few of these black and orange zoas in random parts of the tank, it doesn’t make since, I moved some of the rocks a few days before but some of these rocks they are attached too we’re never near each other. Any ideas?

may have been a snail or crab that grazed the zoas and detached it/them accidentally. or, it could be the reverse and you have a crab or hermit eating at the base of the zoas and detaching it

I'm 3 for 3 on emerald crab snipping zoa heads and firework clove polyp heads off for the fun of it... So, if you have an Emerald Crab, I'd bet that is your culprit.
