Deteriorating Marcos Reef Saver Rock?

I'm seeing something I find odd and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this with this rock. Over the last couple weeks I've noticed some super bright white sections on my rock. If I poke at it with a baster it crumbles a little and little puffs of dust go into the water column... Is something wrong here? Thanks

I’ve seen reports of that happening here and there, a bit normal it seems.
