Hey all,

So I'm working on upgrading some of the equipment in my 32g BioCube. Recently picked up the AI Nero5 to subsidize the return pump. I've currently got it in the middle-ish of the right side pointing to intersect with the return pump's flow hoping to create some turbulence in the middle of the tank. I also have it on a random pattern with high variance maxing out around 25% of what that pump can do.

The question is... How do I know when I have "Good flow," and what really determines that? I have some softies and euphyllia, and I just want to make sure I'm understanding where they should be and what suits them best.

Thanks!

When you have too little flow your tank will look grungy and dirty. When you have too much your softies and euphyllia will stay shrunken guarding themselves from the flow.
Trial and error. Everyone has different aquascapes and pump placements. This is something you have to get a sense of for your tank and the equipment on your tank. If your animals are at the right height for the light you are running leave them alone and move the pump around
