So I have noticed this hair like stuff that if I brush off the rocks comes right off but when it settles it comes right back and covers my rock I have 3 power heads and one output from sump.. one of my strongest power heads is pointing right behind my rock work against the wall.. what should I do should I get cleanup crew I have a cleaner shrimp sailfin tang and clownfish and copperband

Sounds like hair green algea.....or brown

You can go chemical to remove it or go natural.

A chemical remidy will be a product such as vibrant or chemiclean. But if you dont know your parameters and get them into check the GHA it will just keep coming back.

Natural way is to remove as much big clumps as you can and put in a large clean up crew.

All kinds of snails and hermits and emeralds. Do a little research and see what type would be good for your tank.

Some dont like turbo snails because they are huge and knock stuff around, but they do a good job of cleanup. Some dont like emerald crabs because they get too big and can start eating corals. But most will be fine for any tank.

Pick which way you want to address your algea problem and try not to flip flop on direction. And at the end of the day you gotta get the nutrients in the tank undercontrol to keep algea away.
