What is the best thing to get that eats detritus up besides a skimmer? Sumthin to add to my cuc preferably

A skimmer removes dissolved organic carbons (DOC).

True detritus is best removed manually, Bristleworms will get into all the nooks and crannies as will a few other inverts. It's really the bi-product of fish and inverts eating.

Are you interested in something that will stir the sand?

Yes it looks like dirt all over my sand so I need sumthing that will get rid of it. I believe it's crap but I'm not sure. Was wondering should I add another 20 or 30 cerith or Astraea snails to help get rid of it. Also yes I need sumthing that helps stir up the sand. Any suggestions would help

I have had good luck with Tiger Tail Cucumbers.
How large is the tank and how long has it been running?
Try some Nassarius Snails as well.

Vacumn your sand bed when you do your water changes. Also i agree it could be diatoms. Make sure you have good flow and don't overfeed.

How much flow do you have going through your tank? Also are you sure it's detritus and not diatoms?

I have plenty flow but I have my power heads are pointed upwards because if I point them level or downwards they below the sand everywhere and beat my corals to death. I'm sure it's detritus

Just looked at a tiger tail cucumber and that thing looks scary

Why yes it does but it gets the job done. Poops out clean sand and it's not one of the more toxic Cucumbers.
