I am having an issue with detritus build-up in my 15 gallon tall. I have an evo 750 and a mag 350 canister filter for flow. What would everyone suggest I add to the tank to help with this build-up? I am thinking about tossing 5-10 nassarius snails into the tank to help. Does anyone have any suggestions as to other detrivores that I could add to the tank to alleviate the issue I'm having? I don't think that I can add any more flow to the tank, and am looking for natural solutions to take care of the detritus. The sandbed is made up of CaribSea black and white Indo-Pacific sand. Any suggestions, tips, or help would be greatly appreciated.

The only bad thing with adding that many snails in a small aquarium is that they will quickly run out of food and then possibly starve.

The problem I'm having is that there just aren't enough sand sifting critters in the tank. It is tied into my system which consists of a 40 breeder, the 15 tall, and a 25 gallon eshops sump. My 40 breeder has no issues what so ever with detritus build up, so its really bothering me that my gf's sandbed looks like crap. I added 5 more nassarius snails to the tank and I hope that it will take care of the problem. If they start getting hungry, I will just throw them into my 40. I feed heavily in that tank and they will be more than well fed. Lets hope this takes care of my issue.
