So I have done a little digging but wanted to know who all uses a similar set up and could give me recommendations.

I want to design a battery back up system for an air pump that only kicks on when the power goes out.

Is anyone else out there doing something similar? If so, what are you using?

Need to find that on the largest steroids any one has ever heard of....I am trying to do something in the range of 40-50 tanks....I mean I guess we could buy like 12 of these...

If you are wanting something large scale, I would order a large capacity air compressor and run airline to every tank. Place a regulator near the tank as well as a 110v normally open solenoid. When power is on, the solenoid will be closed with no air flow, when power goes out, solenoid opens and air runs through regulator at low volume through tank lines. If your compressor tank is large enough, it should last for hours if not a day or two.

Sounds like overkill to me. I love overkill! I wish I had thought of it, fantastic idea!
