Would this work to measure the water flow through the tank’s plumbing? And possibly alert you if the pump fails.

Interesting. Only problem I see is it's for copper or cpvc and not regular pvc pipe. Maybe ask the seller if it works on pvc.

I was thinking it would be possible to install a short section of 1” CPVC just for the device to attach onto.

Is the Neptune FMK out of the question?

That is pretty cool. Probably PVC is not listed because it’s not in code for house pressure plumbing.

In the product FAQ at the provided link, the seller specifically states:

"The Monitor works on CPVC, PEX, Copper-M, and Copper-L with 0.75" or 1.0". diameter. It does not work on PVC. Thanks!

I have an apex, but have never hooked it up. Running a small tank right now and just don’t need it (I know it would be handy to have, but everything is stable and running well so why mess with it).
And I like the idea of this being external. There would be no chance of it slowing the flow any, getting clogged, or having moving parts break.

Plus I am in the process of setting up two other tanks. It would be nice to have one device that I could switch between those tanks.
