ive recently purchased a cool devils hand a small after reading up a little, I’ve placed it in high light and medium flow. After a few days only half of the polyps were coming out.
I’m currently doing a couple of days with lights off just to sort out my algea issues and after one day the devils hand is now covered in polyps! Which brings me to the question of does this coral actually need high lighting? It seems to be thriving with just ambient lighting from the room

Following because I've had one of these for three years and I have never once made it happy for more than a few months. I've tried about every combo. The only time it was REALLY happy was when it was in a very dirty QT

Mine sits towards the bottom in about 80-90 par..and loves it.
