Devil's Hand Mushroom - Question

Hi everyone!

I hope your week is going well.

I purchased a Devil's Hand Mushroom and it came in the mail yesterday. It is top heavy and I am trying to figure out what to do for it. It is mounted on a small piece of live rock. How have you dealt with this problem? I have read that I can prop it between two pieces of the reef rock and it will attach to the rock in places. What do you think I should do? I don't want to cut it in any way.

Sounds like a devil's hand leather?

If so; super easy. Just plop him where he'll stay put. If he doesn't stay put, try a loose rubber band around the rock and the leather and in a couple days/week it should attach to the rock. I've read people will toothpick the leather to a rock to get it to stay.

Just don't try super glue, just won't work. Leathers will slime it off.

I wouldn't glue it for now. it may not like the light or flow and might have to be moved. wedge it between rock and see how it goes for awhile.
