Water tested. No water change again, I believe this is 4 weeks without one. Could be 3, I've lost track.
Alk is slowly dropping 8.9
Calcium 450
Nitrate still zero
Phosphates .03
Still feeding with the Neptune AFS twice a day and frozen in the evening.

If you need some Nitrates i can semd my nephew down to you to feed for a week.... just back from vacation and mine shot up from 5/10 to almost 50!!
No idea what he did as I pre-portioned everything for him but surprisingly aside from an angry birdsnest and LESS algae my tank never looked happier. So baffling sometimes.

I ran across this yesterday, I will be staying tuned for more information and a launch! I am building my version of a LED/T5 hybrid anyway and this may work out even better! @MarineDepot

Also got the Neptune FMM today, along with the pipe thread sealant that is recommended for the flow sensor. Teflon tape is NOT recommended!

Back a tank it again with the 8020! Added onto the frame to get the other t5 Fixture on the tank!

I wish the optical sensor had better reviews. Would like to use it as my ATO as well & use a float with the breakout box for a fail safe! I looked at the DOS today, the price is hard for me to swallow for 2 heads. Not to mention I have the classic and every time I have to update firmware I'm getting my 100' network cable out! Haha I may look into upgrading next year and offset the cost by offloading the classic. How many VDM's does the 2016 have?
Thanks scurvy!! I'll probably get that hybrid Fixture I posted a few posts back when it comes out. The t5's may actually be overkill, now that'd I've stopped water changes everything is looking good... I won't hold my breath though.

Getting closer! Neptune Low Profile leak defector came in, got the FMM module mounted and plugged in the COR20. Pump install SOON! Leak detector fit under my stand perfectly!
I'm partial to the new Neptune mounting options. My cabinet space is limited (my fault) so the side mounting tabs would have worked better for me. Aside from that they are mounted and I'm not building a "show quality" equipment cabinet. Function and a little better orginization is key for me!

Yeah, pretty much everything in my tank starts to shrivel and die if my Nitrates drop much below 5. I'm not sure how in the world people run close to 0 Nitrates.

I've been testing nitrates once a week for awhile now, a month with no water change and I'm still at zero. I suspect 0 anyway, I'll find out this weekend when I test. I've actually cut my scrubber lights down a few hours to see if that helps raise them. If that doesn't help option B) Stump remover! Haha
