THE most annoying part of this Chaeto. I’ve cleaned the pumps twice already.

The blue section in my hand typically connects my RODI storage containers. I just made the white piece to see if I can open both valve and fill both containers together VS how I’ve previously done it separately.

How is it getting into your display? If you can put some filter floss type stuff on the perforations that go into your return chamber

There is a spot for a sponge in my sump, but my heaters are there. I don’t have any netting or anything else I can use right now. The thought of it riding into my display never crossed my mind! Haha

Looks like the small section of pvc and connecting the valves worked. Both tanks leveled out, this will make filling the containers much easier. Especially since I’m doing 8-10 gallon water changes per week and using +-5 gallons of top off water a week.

@pelphrey I think the problem with the little strands of Chaeto getting everywhere will alleviate its self as the smaller strands grow into longer and longer strands and get intertwined with each other. When you tear out some of the Chaeto to harvest be careful not to tear too much into short strands. You might even want to tear some off in a separate container to catch some and rinse the chunk you put back, free from short strands.

This was brand new Chaeto, unfortunately it did need to be ripped to get it out of the packaging. What you said makes sense though!
