Think he wants to be a hermit crab and swap shells? I always wanted to try some bumble bee’s. Curious how they do for you.

HAHA That is possible! For their size they are expensive, it took them awhile to start moving around. Time will tell! I wanted to try something new out.

You knew I'd like those choices! You'll love the Lubbocks.

It was a tough decision to be honest. Saltwarefish.com has a sale going on, spend $150 and get a yellow tang for $15. I saw one wrasse on their site I fell in love with, every since my melanurus wrasse passed I've wanted a few more. I've always wanted a yellow, your new build is an inspiration to the new found love!

Nice deal! I'll have to take a look. The yellow will always be on the move hunting. They move with grace as my gal says.

Thats interesting.... Looks to be either very tiny Duncan heads or an Alveapora?? Ever had either of them? I suppose it could just be polyps from the Monti recovering too.

I have what I thought is a green goni on the back of my rock I forgot about. It must be an alveopora, I found a thread on reefcentral from 2004 that states "if they are doing well, they may drop babies and reproduce that way." not sure how accurate that is. But I haven't touch that coral since I put it into the tank, frankly I am surprised it is still alive let alone thriving!

I made an executive decision and pulled the GEM5 lights when I realized I could angle the kessil. Below is my schedule, intensity is 40% and color is 90%.

Siphoned our the junk from my refugium today. Had sand and small small rock rubble everywhere. Mj1200 couldn’t hardly handle it all!

How are you liking the fuge? Looks like you are getting used to it I see. When I first started my tank, I had miracle mud beneath my chaeto. After a year, I just removed it an placed some rocks in it. I never tried a power head in it. The mj1200’s are good pumps. I use it for my saltwater container. I just dump salt in it and let it mix. I think you’ll like having a fuge.

I have a small sicce powerhead in my sump, it’s not very powerful. Chaeto probably doesn’t even feel that flow. I used the mj1200 to suck out the crud from the sump, I use a sicce 1.5 for mixing salt! I like the fuge so far, a week ago when I tested nitrates were about 2 and phosphates were pretty low I think they were .03-.04 so just watching that. Adding fish should help out. I had a fuge on my first tank I setup and it did well, hoping for the same results!
