Hey guys. I just wondering when deworming a fish in QT do I need to dose GC in water or feed the fish with medicated food or both? Thanks

Adding Jay's medicated food guide as a pdf. Jay maintains that it's effective to dose it in the food (and probably not to add the medication to the water) via addition to gel/binder. Humblefish' guide relies on soaking the food in the medication. I'm currently looking into bioaccummulation in brine shrimp to see if it's worth it or not.

If the worms are external, then dose GC into the water. If it's internal, then try to bind it to a food.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. So I guess I need to do both. I'm asking this is because my new naso tang only eats seaweed Lol he does not touch soaked food at all. I tried garlic no go.

Stop feeding seaweed for a few days, get seaweed pellets & get him eating that then use the Focus / API GC soak on the pellets.

Each of my tangs (granted, it's only 3) will actively eat LRS reef frenzy as well.
