Got 3 blue star lepoard wrasses this week. In QT. Fortunately they're already eating live brine. I have heard 75% come in with internal parasites. Male had some white stringy poop today. I did prazi round 3 days ago, but I've heard metro is the way to beat the internal worms.

Would a bath work with the metro or is food-delivery an absolute necessity? What's the best way to de-worm a wrasse? Past successes?

I have always relied on two treatments of Prazi and been fine.

Metro is supposed to be more effective when given with food.

Yes definitely 2 rounds of prazi and you should be fine. Once they start accepting frozen/dry foods I'll add metro/focus to it for 3 weeks just as a prophylactic. Since these guys are sensitive I choose not to stress them out any more than they are already so I stay away from the baths of any sort.

In most cases, praziquantel clears up intestinal worms. If you are still seeing white stringy poop after two rounds of that, try metronidazole next.

Great, on second round of prazi so hopefully this will get us home. If not, I'll bind up some metro. Thanks for the feedback.

Can I treat a yellow coris and exquisite wrasse with prazi?
