Did you plane that whole piece with that block plane? My arms hurt just looking at it, thought about getting a bench or jack plane to help?

Honestly couldn’t tell you. Have someone building for me that has a lot more skills then I do

Been awhile since posted an update. Went a different direction towards fish only because of time, lost some coral and mainly because missed having puffers. Got a Red Sea Regal Angel, Annularis Angel and small Clown Trigger in QT as well as a Orange Spot Tuskfish coming in from Diver's Den. Here's a few pics...

Looking to copy your stand design. Does your tank have a flat bottom or does it just sit on the plastic frame? There seems to be a lot of weight on the cross supports on the top, and a lot of shear on those screws holding them.

I have a flat bottom across the top. Actually set it up as a bar top around front and sides of tank

Yes, I did notice you had ply-board? under the tank. I guess I am just paranoid, but wouldn't the tank bottom put a lot of pressure on those cross support screws regardless of the ply-board?

We used thicker boards to support the weight. The guy that built it for me has built some amazing stands.
