Started up tank in late May. Moved most stock over from my 70g that had been up and running for a little over a year. The plan is to have a mixed reef. I love sps, but Zoas and chalices awesome, too. Sump is about 100g. Skimmer is an aquamax cones3. Lighting is ai hydra 52 (x3). Two mp40s push the water around with a couple wp25s if I need them. Full apex system. Currently looking for a doser.

The rock sculpture is really a combination of my old stuff that I transferred. It's a mixture of all different kinds, really. I started with three "islands", then just bridged them together with longer branching pieces to give it the look I wanted. I'll look for some better pics of the rock work in progress

Did you get the corals as frags and in a year that is how big some of them have grown, or did you start out will large ones?? I'm about 7 months into saltwater and being patience is starting to get the best of me, would like to know if my zoa's will some day cover a rock :)

I love the aquascaping that you did. The 3 little islands connected by bridges is perfect, your fish will still have plenty of room to swim and corals have plenty of room to grow w/o overtaking the tank. I have a 65g now, can't wait to get a bigger tank. Love the coral selection, I'm sure your kid appreciates it also. Well done!
