DI cylinder water level

yup. I agree. earlier I did a test on the pump. I put the feed line on the pump. On the output i put a 1/4 turn ball valve, as i slowly closed the valve the pump gauge went to 80psi. Thank you for your time.....

Not a problem, happy to help

loosen di canister to burp air out .

One more question plz. Can you tell me which line on the membrane goes to the drain and which goes to the DI ? The way it is now the right one goes to the drain and the left goes to the Di.

That sounds correct based off the orientation in your photo. Sometimes they come with color coded collars or even markings.

When you setup don't immediately plumb to the DI. Let the RO work for a few minutes, and if it's a new membrane probably closer to 30+ so it can rehydrate properly. Then check both lines with a TDS meter to be sure.

Hello, I'm new to RO/DI systems. I picked up a used 4 stage unit with a pump and gauge installed on the unit. My question is the cylinder that holds the DI resin container is only half full of water. Is that normal? it seems to be working ok, the pump pressure is around 50psi and not ever using a RO/DI system before im not sure if that right.
Are the input and output connections mixed up?

I don’t think so. The inlet is the blue line. It worked it filled my 30 gal tank in about 16 hours + or - some time messing with the system.

At least yours has a water level in it. Mine varies between no water and 1/2 full. My water pressure also varies between 36-50 (city water). I do have a booster pump on order.

Does the equipment add-on nickel and diming every end? (rhetorical question)

I unscrewed my canister slightly to let the air out, then tighten it back up. To prevent reoccurring. I open my RO/DI outlet Valve slowly when starting the system.
